Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Name It First (“this site”) handles information about visitors.
Information we collect
- The names you propose, and when you proposed them.
- An anonymous identifier created in your browser, used to count each device once per name.
- Your language choice, stored only in your browser.
We do not ask for your name, email address or any account.
How we use it
We use this information only to run the game (deciding whether a name is new and counting how many devices proposed it), to prevent abuse, and to improve the site. Proposed names and their counts may be shown to other visitors. The anonymous identifier is never shown to anyone.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, Inc. Your browser stores the anonymous identifier and your language choice in local storage.
Advertising
This site may use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Analytics
This site may use analytics tools that collect anonymous traffic data with cookies. You can refuse this by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
Deleting your data
Clearing your browser’s site data removes the anonymous identifier from your device. If you want a name you proposed removed, open an issue on GitHub.
Disclaimer
Names are entered by visitors, and this site is not responsible for their content. Names that are unlawful or offensive may be removed without notice. Being the first to propose a name here gives no legal right to that name.

This policy may be updated when needed. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
